Courtney Lynn, PhD.

As a licensed psychologist, I am committed to helping children and families overcome challenges and live a life more in line with their values. My main goal is to identify what is most important to you and your family and help you achieve it.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in many different settings including schools, primary care centers, hospitals, and many medical specialty clinics. I have experience addressing a variety of concerns including behavior difficulties, anxiety, parenting, stress, and coping with chronic illness. I specialize in parent-based interventions for toddlers and school-age children as well as more individualized approaches for pre-teens, adolescents, and young adults.

I am a Certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT). | have received extensive training in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). | have completed Level 1 and 2 training for Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) as well as an externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) for couples and dyads. My approach to therapy is always a collaborative discussion between everyone involved. Although I am an expert in many types of therapy, you are the expert on yourself, your child, and your family. I place a high value on moving through therapy in a supportive and mutual manner.

In my personal time, I enjoy getting outside hiking, backpacking, and snowboarding with my family and friends. I have a blended family that includes four teenage boys who keep me very busy attending their sporting events! Unabashedly, I am the one cheering very (very) loudly on the sideline.
